Week 33, 2026: three cancellations that did not happen

An earlier version of this page reported that LARČ 4. etapas, LMRČ 5. etapas and LXRČ 4. etapas had been cancelled. That was wrong. All three rally rounds ran on their original dates and all three are now recorded as completed: LARČ 4. etapas on 13 August 2026, and LMRČ 5. etapas and LXRČ 4. etapas on 21 August 2026. Racenda did record a scheduled-to-cancelled change for each of them on 11 August 2026, so this digest was an accurate account of what the platform held when it was written on 17 August. The status itself was not accurate, and anyone who read this page and stayed home missed a race that was running.

All three cancellations entered Racenda from the same place: a single aggregator listing, which reported status "cancelled" for its own entries ar_23398, ar_23528 and ar_23562 during the automated pass of 11 August 2026. Nothing else corroborated it. On 19 August 2026 an operator cross-checked each one against the federation’s own listing for the same event — lasf_7416c57bbf14, lasf_3832b477f0c8 and lasf_60cac9ece3a0 respectively — and found no cancellation marker on any of them. All three were returned to scheduled by hand that afternoon, and the normal end-of-event sweep then closed them as completed once their dates had passed. Racenda has since stopped accepting status signals from that aggregator altogether; it remains a source of event listings, not of cancellations.

The bulk of the week was routine. Thirty-seven completions were recorded across thirty-six events — one round was logged twice — as they passed their end date and were closed by the end-of-event sweep, which finishes an event once local end-of-day in Riga plus a six-hour grace period has passed. Nine closed on 10 August, covering the weekend of 7 to 9 August: Offroad Klaperjaht and the Rotax Izaicinājuma kauss 5. posms, LPČ 3. etapas, the Motoringraja EMV IV round at Porsche Ring, the fifth round of the Latvian-Lithuanian and Baltic rallycross championships, Latvijas čempionāts Triālā 6. posms, ENKV 6. etapp at Äksi, and two Lithuanian drift meetings. A further eighteen closed on 16 August after the weekend of 14 to 15 August, among them Rallijsprints "Cesvaine", Rokiskio Grand Rally 2026, LITHUANIAN RALLY4 TROPHY 4. etapas, Mighty Quarries Cup 2026 and Latvijas Čempionāts kartingā 4. posms.

Racenda recorded three date changes across two events, none of them carrying a status flip. "2026 m. Supermoto ir plento žiedo treniruotė Aukštadvaryje", at Aukštadvaris in Lithuania, had its date changed twice — once on 12 August 2026 and again on 15 August 2026. The same fixture had already moved twice during week 32, which makes four recorded date changes for one training event inside a fortnight; if you follow it, the calendar entry is the one to trust rather than any date you noted earlier. "Latvijas čempionāts un kauss Cross-Country I 5. posms" at Lubāna in Latvia had its date changed once, on 14 August 2026.

One of the week’s automatic completions carries a cancellation notice inside its own event name. "Läänemaa 1+1 rahvasprint – ei toimu!" — ei toimu is Estonian for "does not take place" — moved from scheduled to completed on 16 August 2026 through the routine end-of-event sweep, not through a cancelled status, because nothing in Racenda reads that phrase as a cancellation marker. The recorded change is therefore a normal lifecycle completion and the status field reads completed. The same pattern showed up in week 32, and it is a gap in how titles are scanned rather than a judgement about the event: where a title and a status disagree, the title is usually the one telling you the truth.
