Week 35, 2026: ten cancellation claims, none of them confirmed

Ten cancellation claims reached Racenda between 26 and 27 August 2026, every one of them from the same aggregator listing, and every one of them wrong. Two named Lithuanian rounds that had already run — a SemiPro drift round at Klaipėda and the fifth round of the Lithuanian autocross championship — and eight named rounds of the LTCC, MITJET and STR series. The correct outcome is visible in the calendar today: all ten of the events named are recorded as completed. Not one of them is cancelled. This is the second consecutive week in which this source produced cancellations that nothing else corroborated, and Racenda has since stopped accepting status signals from it.

Five of the ten never changed a status at all. LTCC 3. etapas, STR 3. etapas, STR 4. etapas and the second and third rounds of the MITJET calendar had all finished racing weeks earlier — between 2 July and 1 August 2026 — and a finished event cannot be un-finished into a cancellation. Racenda refused each of those five transitions on 27 August on exactly that ground and left the events as completed. Nobody following those series was told a race they had already watched was cancelled. The refusals were logged for an operator to look at rather than silently dropped, which is how the pattern behind the other five was spotted the same day.

Three of the ten did change a status. LTCC 4. etapas, MITJET KLASĖS KALENDORIUS 4. etapas and STR 5. etapas were moved to cancelled on 27 August 2026 and all three were back to scheduled the same day, once each had been checked against the LASF calendar itself, where none of the three rows carried a marker. In two of them the likely cause was visible in the source document: an ATŠAUKTA belonging to a neighbouring row of the PDF calendar had been read as though it applied to the round beside it — for STR, the marker belonged to round 6 at Kuršėnai while round 5 at Klaipėda was listed clean. All three then ran: LTCC 4 and MITJET 4 at Pärnu on 27 August, STR 5 at Klaipėda on 29 August.

Checking the three fresh claims turned up two older ones from the same source that nobody had questioned. LTCC 5. etapas had been carrying a cancelled status since 1 August 2026, and the 24-hour electric-car race since 9 August — both on the strength of that one aggregator listing and nothing else. Neither had a cancellation marker on its federation row, and in both cases an outside listing pointed the other way: balticracingseries.eu had the Tor Poznań finals of 17 to 20 September down as going ahead. Both were returned to scheduled on 27 August 2026 and both are still scheduled, for 17 and 18 September. If you checked either fixture during August and read it as off, it was not.

Twenty-six events were closed automatically as their dates passed. Nine closed on 24 August covering the weekend of 22 to 23 August, among them Latvijas Autokrosa čempionāta 5. posms, Latvijas Drifta čempionāts, the Autokrossi EMV etapp, Latvijas kauss motokrosā I 5. posms and the fifth-round Supermoto meeting that counted for the Central European, Baltic and Lithuanian championships at once. Ten more closed on 30 August after the last weekend of the month: Rotax Nordic Challenge, LARSČ 5. etapas, MX Liiga 5. etapp at Karksi-Nuia, the Latvian Q100 and junior karting cup round, the fifth round of the Lithuanian rally sprint championship at Plungė–Rietavas, and the third round of the Lithuanian quad and sidecar cross championship among them.

Seven schedule changes were recorded, none of them attached to a status flip. "Aukšto meistriškumo Plento žiedo treniruotės Nemuno žiede" changed both its venue and its date on 24 August. "2026 m. Supermoto ir plento žiedo treniruotė Aukštadvaryje" moved twice more, on 26 and 29 August, extending an unusually long run of date changes for a single training fixture. "Drift Games 2026" and "Nemokama moterų stovykla su Adrija Skudutyte 2026" each changed venue, on 27 and 28 August. "Latvijas kauss autosprintā, 6. posms" changed its date on 27 August. If you follow any of these, the calendar entry is the version to trust.

"Tehvandi rahvasprint – ei toimu!" closed as completed on 30 August 2026 through the routine end-of-event sweep, exactly as "Läänemaa 1+1 rahvasprint – ei toimu!" did in week 33. Ei toimu is Estonian for "does not take place", and in both cases the phrase sits in the event title while the recorded status reads completed, because nothing in Racenda currently reads that wording as a cancellation marker. Where a title and a status disagree like this, the title is the one to believe. It is a narrow gap in how event names are scanned, and it is worth knowing about if you follow Estonian folkrace, where the wording is common.
